The Challenge
A client needed a weatherproof enclosure for an outdoor IoT sensor array, with integrated mounting points for a custom PCB and multiple sensor modules.
Our Solution
We designed the enclosure in Fusion 360 with parametric features for iterative refinement. The final design was printed on our Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W in Nylon PA 12 for durability and weather resistance. Custom PCB mounting bosses and cable routing channels were integrated directly into the 3D-printed structure.
The Outcome
The enclosure passed IP65 weather testing and has been deployed in the field with zero failures. The client subsequently ordered a batch of 50 units for wider deployment.
