MOPA Fiber 60W + 40W Dual Laser

XTool F2 Ultra

Advanced Metal Laser Engraving & Marking System

The XTool F2 Ultra is a dual-laser platform built for serious metal work. Its 60W MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) fiber laser delivers variable pulse durations from 2ns to 500ns — a capability that standard fiber lasers with fixed 120ns pulses simply cannot match. This pulse-width control is what enables color engraving on stainless steel, true black marking without spray coatings, and 3D relief engraving at speeds 5x faster than 20W fiber systems.

The second laser — a 40W blue-light diode — handles organic materials: wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, and paper. Together, the dual-laser system covers the full material spectrum in a single machine, switching between metal engraving and organic cutting without retooling.

Dual 48-megapixel cameras provide auto-focus and precise material positioning, while comprehensive safety systems — door sensors, fire detection, smoke detection, laser key lock, auto shutoff, and vibration compensation — make it production-floor ready.

CO2 Laser System

Organic Material Cutting & Engraving

Our CO2 laser system complements the MOPA fiber laser by handling organic and non-metallic materials that CO2 wavelengths excel at — wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, paper, and glass. The 45W CO2 source delivers clean cuts through thick sheet stock and produces high-contrast engravings with natural burn aesthetics on wood and leather.

A passthrough slot enables unlimited-length cuts on oversized materials — banners, long signage, and continuous stock. Combined with the XTool F2 Ultra's metal capabilities, our dual-laser setup means any project combining metal hardware with wood, acrylic, or leather components can be produced entirely in-house.

Laser Engraving Capabilities

Five core processes powered by two laser technologies — MOPA fiber for metals, CO2 for organics.

Deep Metal Engraving

High-power MOPA fiber laser removes material to create dimensional depth — logos, serial numbers, and 3D relief on brass, copper, steel, and precious metals.

Surface Etching & Annealing

Heat-based color change and surface marking on bare metals — permanent contrast without material removal. Ideal for medical instruments, tools, and jewelry.

Color Marking

Variable pulse duration creates oxide layers of controlled thickness on stainless steel, producing vivid colors without inks or coatings.

Laser Cutting

Full through-cut on sheet materials — acrylic, wood, fabric, paper, leather, and thin metals up to 2 mm brass.

Scoring & Outlining

Shallow surface lines for fold marks, alignment guides, decorative outlines, and PCB trace paths.

Materials We Engrave, Mark & Cut

From hardened stainless steel and precious metals to delicate fabrics and stone — our dual-laser setup handles the full material spectrum.

Metals

Applications

From industrial metal serialization and PCB prototyping to custom coins and personalized gifts — advanced laser engraving serves a broad range of industries.

Metal Part Marking & Serialization

Permanent serial numbers, QR codes, barcodes, and traceability markings laser-engraved directly into stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and titanium. Machine-readable marks that survive harsh environments, chemical exposure, and abrasion.

Color Engraving on Stainless Steel

MOPA variable-pulse technology creates ultra-thin oxide layers of precise thickness on 304 stainless steel — producing vivid colors without pigments, dyes, or coatings. Permanent, scratch-resistant, and striking.

Custom Coins & Medallions

Deep 3D relief engraving on brass, copper, and precious metals. Challenge coins, commemorative medallions, and branded tokens with fine detail and professional finish.

PCB Prototyping

Laser-etched circuit boards from copper-clad blanks — rapid PCB prototyping without chemical etching. Drill vias, ablate copper traces, and mark component outlines in a single setup.

Branding & Logo Engraving

Custom logo engraving on products, packaging, and promotional items across any material — from leather goods and wood to metal hardware and glass.

Signage, Awards & Personalization

Engraved and cut signage from wood, acrylic, and metal. Trophies, plaques, coasters, gifts, and keepsakes with names, dates, and custom artwork — zero tooling cost for one-offs and short runs.

Why Laser Engraving at Bitform

Advanced laser marking paired with 3D printing and CNC machining means you can design, manufacture, and finish parts — all in one shop.

Dual-Laser Versatility

MOPA fiber for metals, CO2 for organics — one facility covers every material without outsourcing. Switch from brass coin engraving to wood signage in minutes.

Non-Contact Process

No physical tool touches the workpiece — no clamping stress, no tool wear, no deformation. Ideal for delicate or thin materials and finished surfaces.

Zero Tooling Cost

Change designs instantly — no dies, screens, or setup charges. Economical for one-off pieces and short production runs alike.

Integrated Workflow

3D print or CNC machine a part, then laser engrave serial numbers, logos, or labels — all without leaving our Huntington Beach facility.
